Sony Announces the Xperia Z1, a Waterproof Smartphone with a 20MP Camera

Sony has announced about their next waterproof android smartphone device Xperia Z1 with a 20MP camera which is similar to Xperia Z Ultra.

The next upcoming device Z1 comes with G f/2 lence with a 27mm focal length and large 1/2.3" CMOS image which is simillar to compact digital cameras.  The smartphone comes with new Sony Xperia camera apps, and a 5" TriLuminous display to view those 20.7MP captures.

Sony Xperia Z1 has  Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2.2 GHz quad-core CPUs, 4G LTE and a 3000 mAh battery. Like the Xperia Z, the Z1 is dust and water resistant.

The new Xperia camera applications include following key features:

1. A visual search function which provides information on landmarks, and items like books or wine,    simply by capturing the object with the camera.

2. Broadcast video live from the Z1 to Facebook. Availability depends on region.

3. AR effect Overlays a selection of animations on photographs.

4. It takes 61 images in 2 seconds in Full-HD resolution, a second before and after pressing     the shutter.
