Facebook added new 'sympathize' button for it's
user. This button has alternative of like button. 'sympathize' means
when people come across a sad status update from a friend; they have a death in
the family; some unfortunate event or may be just a bad day than user have use
a 'sympathize' button.
In Facebook in any sad condition of Facebook user
friend have only option like but they have sympathize for friend so Facebook
added new sympathize button. they see that someone has— perhaps accidentally— hit the
‘like’ button. Now, maybe there is a deeper Freudian slip there, but ask these
likers and they will say: “I was trying to show sympathy, but ‘like’ was my
only option.”
In many situation 'Like' is the exact opposite
response people may be trying to convey when they are
forced to respond with such limited options. For such a situation Facebook
engineer has come up with a solution a 'sympathize' button.
This friday Facebook's annual
Compassion Research day when the social network devotes a whole day to sharing
various ways it is trying to “build empathy and foster trust” with
users.Engineer Dan Muriello said one of his colleagues had designed the
‘sympathize’ button during a recent hackathon.
How 'Sympathize' button work:
When Facebook user have tag her status with
negative emotion (from the social networking site’s
lists of feelings), the 'sympathize' button would automatically replace the
'Like' button. Facebook spokesperson said that users might want one, it seems
Facebook is never going to add a ‘dislike’ button. The ‘sympathize’ feature is
not making its way to the site “yet”.
