Insider reports of
business that Yahoo begun think to buy Imgur. Imgur is the photo sharing site
that grew up with the Reddit. We heard a simillar rumor from a source in the end
of October that we were not be able to substantiate. At the time, the source said
that the deal might be up to $200 million.
At first glance many question arise like what is Imgur? and my more like why Yahoo trying to buy Imgur. Imgur is an image hosting
and sharing site, favoured by users of social media and social news sites
including Reddit, Twitter and Digg. It host images for free in various formats
including animated GIF file. User of this site can write comments and also use
tools to create new images and then share those images imgur users and the
wider internet.
Imgur become widely
popular in a very short time, going from thousand of visitor a day to millions
within five months and all credit goes to social news sites Redit and Digg.
